Hi, this is Dr. Dennis Clark, research scientist, and I’ve been doing some research in the medical literature on how to get rid of belly fat. There are several ways that people are not aware of. Some are surprises that I’ve found in scientific research and there are some things that maybe confirm what you already know and maybe have already been successful with. I’ve put all this information into a book called, “5 Steps to a Slimmer and Healthier You.” I want to give you that book at no charge, because most of the research was supported by taxpayer money anyway and you have already paid for it. So the book is, “5 Steps to a Slimmer and Healthier You,” and it has five main parts that I’m going to provide overviews of in a series of videos. This is just the introductory video, so look for the other videos as well. The five parts are, eating – what you eat, how much you eat, and when you eat. There are some surprises here. Exercise – there are some exercises that will work for you to lose belly fat and some that will do just the opposite. They will actually make you retain fat. Supplements are important. Some of them work and some don’t. Research is very good on the ones that work. Stress is the biggest thing that people ignore relative to getting and staying fat. So stress management is a key to getting rid of fat and keeping it off. And finally, I have a section in my book on hormone balance. When I say hormones I mean that the balance of hormones in your body is among two or three hundred different kinds of natural products. Of course testosterone and estrogen are just two of these, so the hormone balance in all of them is important so you can metabolize your food properly so that it goes into building muscle and structure and not get stored as fat.
