Getting rid of fat, part 6, my free belly fat book talks about green tea and the excellent research on this herb for fat loss. And it has nothing to do with caffeine.
Hi, this is Dr. Dennis Clark, research scientist. I want to tell you a little bit about the research I’ve done on belly fat science, that is how to get rid of belly fat based on real research science. One of the things I want to mention to you is the most important herbal supplement, I think, based on research for getting rid of belly fat. It’s simply green tea, and I want to tell you how to select a good product. There are hundreds of good products on the market, and here’s how to find the best one for you. First of all, get a green tea extract, not a whole herb. Whole herbs…you’ll never know how much you will get out of them. Secondly, look for a component, the active ingredient in enhancing your metabolism is not caffeine. Don’t worry about the caffeine content. What you want to find is something called epigallocatechin-gallate, or EGCG. Look for a green tea extract that is standardized to EGCG so you know exactly how much you’re getting. That’s the key. There are hundreds of different products. I don’t have one that I recommend. There is lots of marketing hype on products from green tea that’s supposed to be better than others. It’s all the same species of plant. Just look for the EGCG content. That’s what you need for getting rid of belly fat. Those are just a few of the details about green tea for fat loss. If you want to know how to find the best supplement, there are hundreds of them out there, then go ahead and download my free belly fat book now at BellyFatScience.com.
All the best with getting rid of fat,
Dr. D
