Wow, Doc...now I have to go get a snack. Seriously, though, if you know how to prepare kale to make it delicious, you are way ahead of my cooking skills. I'm still a sucker for good cheese, although I have cut out yogurt. Thanks for the comment!

All the best,
Dennis

Hi, Cindy:

It is a bit of a puzzle. Recommended dietary fat is discussed after you click around a bit on the website to find it. Hmm.

All the best,
Dennis

We eat cheese and plain, Greek yogurt as well. We also eat a fair amount of broccoli, KALE and other greens as well. They are delicious when prepared properly and OH SO GOOD for you! :-)

Hi, Kathleen:

Congratulations on your long-term success. Your starting point is where gastric bypass is best used as an emergency medical procedure, and you are a great testimonial to that.

All the best,
Dennis

Hi, Lisa:

The school you mention seems to be ahead of the curve. Now you know how much better they can still be by cutting out grains and milk. It is worth the battle, so keep up the good work with your own children!

All the best,
Dennis

Hi, Molly:

I suppose we could pick on every agribusiness industry and then have nothing left to eat or drink! Milk is just one of the worst kinds of drinks due to additives that are put into cows, mainly antibiotics and growth hormones. We don't need milk for good health. It is not even a good source of calcium. Broccoli and other greens are much better. It is a challenge to overcome our conditioning, though. For example, I still eat cheese (very low in lactose).

All the best,
Dennis

I am successfully training my children to know the myplate info. They teach this in school religiously. However, my children know that grains and dairy are not necessary. This is tough battle. No more brainwashing for my children!

Why the ban on dairy if readers are not lactose intolerant?
